Which one?

Tubs if you are not certain the product will sell. Ten units, in days, and if it does not work you have risked very little. It is the only format with no print run behind it.

Pouches once you know it sells. Same net weight, but printed film replaces the tub, the lid and the label, so the unit cost drops well below a tub. The trade is 700 minimum and six weeks.

Stick packs for single serve. One dose per stick, straight into a bottle. They suit sampling, gym counters and subscription boxes rather than being a main line.

Ordering more than one format is fine. Each keeps its own price ladder, so buying tubs does not change your pouch rate or the other way round.

Launching a range rather than a product

The pouch and stick minimums are print runs, not products. Digital printing lets one run carry up to five different designs, so five products cost roughly a fifth of what five separate runs would. There is a setup charge per design.

It does not change the advice above. If you have not proved the product sells, ten tubs is still the right first order.
